Best Dressed Men at the AMVCA

The African Magic Viewers Choice Awards (AMVCA) was a blast and it was judged a success for an event in its first edition. There were a few noticeable glitches, at least, from where I sat in front of my TV screen but that ain't my business. I'm only interested in what our revered celebs are wearing. I'm gonna pick out my best and worst dressed men at the AMVCA's.

My choice best dressed man at the AMVCA goes to Jim Iyke :

He dares to be bold, wearing a white double-breasted short suit (men fashion trend)
 by David bowler to the AMVCA's and he did look stunning in it.
He completed his look with patent leather shoes and his signature fashion item; a pair of sunglasses.

And the runner up for best dressed man at the AMVCA goes to Nigerian Actor/Model, Alex Ekubo :

I love it when people do the unexpected in a good way. Not that suits for men are unexpected in a red carpet event like the AMVCA but they often come in Neutrals and business looking colours like black, white, tan and navy. Model/Actor Alex Ekubo took a different turn by donning a purple suit jacket, velvet bow tie and a pair of black trousers by Taryor Gabriels, coupled with a million dollar smile to the awards. Isn't he looking polished and ready to take home in this outfit?

My third Best Dressed man at the AMVCA goes to Tinsel's Gidoen Okeke

His personal style is something to watch out for! Actor Gideon Okeke walked the red carpet looking gracefully jaunty in a gray blazer, black dress shirt, satin tie, fitted black trousers, black wing tipped dress shoes and nerdy wayfarer sunglasses. The earrings and wristbands lent his look a 'gentle-bad-guy' air. I love the look!

My worst dressed award goes to Chidi Mokeme :

Hmmm... You can do better! With that height and body that many men only wish to possess, you would expect a jaw dropping outfit to go along with it. Sadly, Nollywood actor Chidi Mokeme decided to present an unpleasant surprise to us. The first thing that came to my mind when I saw this outfit was El-Russo...who to me, should be a don in a Mexican criminal family. El-Russo would wear that!! As if a yellow and black dress shirt with detail almost constantly popping out of his suit jacket wasn't enough, he paired it with crested velvet slippers that happens to be yellow & black. Hey don't get me wrong. I love crested velvet slippers because they exude class and are trendy, but they are supposed to be the attention grabbers in any outfit. Here Mr. Chidi paired his crested velvet slippers with another attention grabbing item: a black dress shirt with eye-catching yellow detail. And no offence, I dislike the yellow-black combo. He was just a little short of being a complete Joke. I do love his aviators though.
